GENERAL NOTICES

It is the responsibility of the installer to choose wires with a
nominal section that is adequate for the current input of the s-
pa, including any accessories (see pre-installation informa-
tion provided with the product).
The cable path, choice of materials and most suitable in-
stallation solutions are left to the professional knowledge and
experience of the installer; it is his responsibility to guarantee
and certify the installation. Also refer to
closed electrical diagrams.
Five wires are required (three phases + neutral + earth) for
the 380-415 V versions, or four wires (3 phases + earth) for the
220-240 V versions.
The wire sections must take account not only the system's in-
put but also the cable path and the distances, the chosen pro-
tection systems and the specific regulations for fixed electrical
systems.
Terminals inside the electric wiring box are suitable for con-
necting leads to the following maximum sections:
380-415 V 3N~: up to 10 mm
220-240 V 3~: up to 16 mm
To ensure the degree of protection against water as set forth
by standards, the electrical box includes a sheath passage meas-
uring 1" 1/4 x Ø 32 mm instead of a cable clamp to facilitate
connection to the electrical mains, regardless of the cross-sec-
tion of the wires used.
The installer must use a sheath with adequate characteristics
and a cross-section compatible with the sheath passage in-
stalled in the factory. He must also use watertight fittings at
joining points, and he must comply with specific systems engi-
neering standards. It is mandatory to comply with this instruc-
tion. Any other procedure is prohibited.
The installer must connect the phase wires to the appropri-
ate terminals, and the neutral wire to the specific terminal N. He
must connect the earth wire to the terminal identified by the
symbol
, using care to avoid damaging the components in the
electrical box.
When installation is complete, the sheath passage must be
checked to see if it is watertight, and the cover of the electrical
box must be hermetically closed.
Make sure the three phase wires are connected
properly. Check that the pumps turn in the direc-
tion indicated by the arrow on the flange of the
pump.

CONNECTION OF SPOTLIGHTS WITH THE SPA-PAK

During the installation phase, it is necessary to connect the wa-
i
tertight box (
7, detail L) located under the tub (already
connected in the factory with the spotlight(s)) and the two ter-
minals located in the electrical box on the spa-pak.

trical box, there are two M16 cable clamps (one on the spotlight
box and one on the electrical box).

(terminal block M6 on the electrical card) must be made with
a normalized cable 2x1.5 mm
ly protect in the section that goes from the spa to the spa-pak.
Once the connections have been made, the installer must
check that the cable clamps are watertight, and then hermet-
ically close the watertight box located under the tub and the
cover of the electrical box.
I

CONNECTION OF COMPENSATION TANK

WITH SPA-PAK

The compensation tank has three level switches and a sole-
noid valve of 3/4" (for topping off water), already wired in a
i
watertight box (
7, detail F).
The devices are connected as follows:
EVC filling solenoid valve
L sic safety level switch
L min minimum level float switch
L max maximum level float switch
i
(
5) For connection of the devices with the electrical box
on the spa-pak, there are two sheath passage fittings measur-
ing 1/2"x Ø16 mm (one on the box fixed on the compensa-
tion tank and one on the electrical box).
i
(
6) The connection to the electrical box of the spa-pak
(terminal block M4 for the level switches; terminal block
M5 for the solenoid valve) is to be made with eight normal-
ized wires with a minimum cross-section of 2x1.5 mm
the installer must protect with a section that is adequate for the
existing sheath passage fittings.
Once the connections have been made, using care to comply
with the numbering of the two respective terminal blocks, the
installer must check that the sheath passage and the sheath
are watertight, and then hermetically close the watertight box
of the compensation tank and the cover of the electrical box.

CONNECTION OF PNEUMATIC PUSH BUTTONS

WITH THE SPA-PAK

To activate some of the functions from the tub (hydromassage, fan,
blower, water heater), the pneumatic push buttons must be installed,
obviously as close as possible to the spa so that they can be ac-
cessed by the person using the spa. It must however be possible to
inspect the push buttons in the location where they are installed.
First of all, the pneumatic push buttons must be connected
to the corresponding junction box (
small plastic tubes provided.
NOTE: the box can be installed under the spa, or outside it,
but not more than 2.5 metres from the push buttons.

cal box on the spa-pak, there are two M16 cable clamps (one
on the push-button box and the other on the electrical box).
