Functions

The filter traps almost all impurities and sediments that get in-
to the spa during use.
The following functions can be obtained by means of the han-
dle of the selector valve:
Standby position (0): used only when the spa is not in use
and facilitates total drainage of water from the filter.
Filtering (1): this is position for normal use, where the water
from the spa is pushed by the pump through the filtering mate-
rial, is recovered by the lower filtering elements of the internal
distribution system, goes back up through the return attach-
ment, and then returns to the spa through the nozzles.

Backwash (2): the water is driven by the pump and is carried
in the opposite direction as in filtering, in order to clean the fil-
ter. In this case, the water enters the filter through the central
tube, exits from the lower filtering elements of the internal dis-
tribution system, goes up through the filtering material and then
exits from the attachment to which the drain pipe is connected,
carrying with it the deposit trapped by the filtering mass during
filtering.

Discharge during filtering (3): in this position the water is
discharged into the ground drainage point after filtering. The
purpose is to eliminate the first filtered water and the position
can be used to clean the sand in the filter (during system s-
tart-up, immediately after filling the filter with sand, or after
changing it).
Drain (4): this position bypasses the selector valve. It is used
for draining water from the spa (periodic emptying) with the aid
of the filtering pump. The water exits the attachment connect-
ed to the drain.
Circulation (5): this is another position that bypasses the s-
elector valve. It can be sued to increase circulation speed and
hence the power of the jets at the nozzles in the tub. It is ad-
visable to use this position only for short periods, since the wa-
ter is not filtered.
Closed (6): this position makes it possible to check for any
leaks in the pipes that go from the pump to the filter (not to be
used; required if the filter is used on systems with long pipes).
NOTE: the lever of the filter (mounted on the spa-pak) must
be left in the filtering position (1) during use of the spa. Any
change in the operation of the selector valve of the filter must
be made with the filtering pump off, to prevent the risk of dam-
age.
Always move the selector valve when the pump
is stopped to prevent pressure overloads.

ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS AND SAFETY

The spas of the Experience range are supplied only in the tri-
phase version (without water heating system, with electric
heater, or with heat exchanger).
The spa is provided separate from the control assembly (s-
pa-pak), which includes all electro-mechanical devices.
The compensation tank, which ensures maintenance of the cor-
rect water level in the spa, must be connected to the spa-pak
during installation. Also the spotlight and the pneumatic push
buttons (which may be installed near the spa) must be con-
nected to the spa-pak.
NOTE: the spa-pak, including the electrical box, must be
housed in a closed, ventilated room that can be accessed on-
ly using a key or tools, and not by children or unskilled per-
sons. Access must also be guaranteed to the various devices
for proper use of the spa (setting of heating temperature, fil-
ter backwash) and/or for special maintenance.
Access to the aforementioned room is limited to qualified, au-
thorized personnel (system operator, maintenance technicians)
who are responsible for keeping the keys so as to prevent ac-
cess by unauthorized persons.
