While you are drawing and extending a line, you can view the distance on the display that is automatically
calculated from the picture.

6.2.1.1 Determining distances in pictures

1. Select the option 'Picture' and 'Measure from picture' from the 'Functions' menu.
◁ The laser is switched on.
2. Hold the tool at right angles to the level surface you are aiming at.
3. Press the measure button once or tap on the cross hairs.
◁ The targeted area is surveyed and the measured distance is displayed.
4. Tap on the pencil icon.
◁ The line icon and the icon for annotations appear and fade back out after a few seconds.
Note
If the icons have faded out, tap on the picture to display the icons again.
5. Tap on the line icon.
◁ A line is placed in the picture.
6. Move the starting and end points of the section into
the approximate positions.
Note
The starting and end points of the section must
lie within the level surface. If the picture con-
tains areas that are not part of the level sur-
face, positioning the end points in these areas
will lead to values that deviate significantly.
7. Touch and hold the end point to enlarge it, and then
release the end point in exactly the right position.
◁ The determined length of the line positioned in
the picture is displayed.
6.2.1.2 'Measure from picture' ‒ additional functions
▶ Add sections: Select the "New section" icon at the lower left.
▶ Extend or remove sections: Touch the sections on the display.
▶ Draw an area: Where you have three or more sections, connect the last section to the first section.

6.2.2 Documenting measured distances in pictures ('Draw in picture')

1. Select the option 'Picture' and 'Draw in picture' from the 'Functions' menu.
2. Enter the area in which you would like to document measured distances.
3. Tap on the check mark if you would like to use the picture.
◁ The picture is transferred and displayed for editing.
Note
You can repeat the following steps at any time if you reopen the picture in the project folder.
4. Tap on the pencil icon.
◁ The line icon and the icon for annotations appear and fade back out after a few seconds.
Note
If the icons have faded out, tap on the picture to display the icons again.
