8 Transport and storage

8.1 Transport
▶ To protect the PD-C while it is being carried or transported, regular use of the belt bag (PDA 66) supplied
by Hilti is recommended. A red Hilti toolbox for the PD-C can also be bought as an accessory in some
markets.

8.2 Storage
▶ Do not put the tool into storage when wet. Allow it to dry before putting it away.
▶ Observe the storage temperature limits for the equipment, which are given in the Technical Data section.
▶ Check the accuracy of the equipment before it is used after a long period of storage or transportation.
9 Troubleshooting
If the trouble you are experiencing is not listed in this table or you are unable to remedy the problem by
yourself, please contact Hilti Service.
Trouble or fault
The tool will not start.
10 Disposal
Most of the materials from which Hilti tools and appliances are manufactured can be recycled. The
materials must be correctly separated before they can be recycled. In many countries, your old tools,
machines or appliances can be returned to Hilti for recycling. Ask Hilti Service or your Hilti representative
for further information.
In accordance with the European Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its implemen-
tation in conformance with national law, electric tools or appliances that have reached the end of their life
must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
▶ Disposal of electric tools or appliances together with household waste is not permissible.

11 Manufacturer's warranty

▶ Please contact your local Hilti representative if you have questions about the warranty conditions.
12 FCC statement (applicable in US)/IC statement (applicable in Canada)
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Hilti may restrict the user's authorization to operate
the equipment.
This device complies with paragraph 15 of the FCC regulations.
This device complies with the exemptions set out by Industry Canada's RSS.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device must not cause interference; and
(2) This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of
the device.
FCC RF Exposure Statement
To satisfy the FCC RF Exposure requirements for mobile transmitting devices, a separation distance of 15
mm should be maintained between the antenna of this device and persons during operation. To ensure
compliance, operations at closer distances than this are not recommended.
