4.3.4 Buttons for managing project folders

▶ The buttons for editing and deleting project folders
and exporting files can be accessed by swiping left
on the project folder entry.
▶ Use the pencil icon to rename the project.
▶ Use the trash icon to delete the project along with all
of its content.
▶ Use the export icon to export all of the results from
the current project into a file.
▶ Use the export icon to export individual results from
the current project that were created using the 'Mea-
sure from picture' and 'Draw in picture' functions.

4.3.5 Exporting data

When exporting from project folders (PDF or CSV), or from results obtained using the picture functions (JPG),
one of two options must be selected: The file is either sent to a connected device directly via Bluetooth, or
saved to the flash memory on the PD-C. If you would like to use both options, simply repeat the process.
Files (e.g. PDF, CSV and JPG) can be exported via Bluetooth, e.g. to a PC that runs Microsoft Windows or a
smartphone or tablet computer that runs Android. We cannot guarantee that all devices will be supported.
Please note that Apple does not currently (2015) allow file transfers via Bluetooth connections with devices
that do not run Apple software.
Note
To support file transfers from the PD-C to a Mac computer, Mac users with Mac OS X 10.5
and later versions can download the official transfer software from Android.
https://www.android.com/filetransfer/ for more information.
The target device for the Bluetooth connection must already be paired with the tool in order for the file
transfer to take place.
Note
Many Bluetooth-enabled devices with Android or PCs with various versions of Windows were
successfully paired in the course of our tests. Nevertheless, Hilti cannot guarantee that pairing will
work with every device. Apple does not allow the range meter to transfer files to Apple devices via
Bluetooth connection.
Projects can be exported in PDF or CSV format, while results from the 'Measure from picture' and
'Draw in picture' functions are exported as a JPG file. The files can also be exported to the flash
memory on the range meter. They can then be transferred from the flash memory to a PC using a
micro-USB cable.

4.3.6 Exported data in the flash memory

Note
Results that are no longer required should be deleted on a regular basis to ensure that the 2 GB
memory capacity on the PD-C is not filled.
However, even if the sizes of the result files vary, for example because they contain annotated pictures,
typical users can store roughly 3000 results in the available memory.
