IODD
The device parameters, makeup of the process data and
the device properties are mapped in the IODD. One IODD
is uniquely assigned to each DeviceID and represents the
specific associated data model.
The information stored in the IODD can be used in the
customer application to simplify use. The same information
is also printed as text in the user's guide.
Smart Sensor Profile
The Smart Sensor Profile determines the functions and
parameters that an IO-Link sensor must support. Devices
which correspond to the profile support identification data
and metadata for the process data.
Smart Sensor Profile Ed. 2
The Smart Sensor Profile Ed. 2 increases the compatibility
between IO-Link sensors and various manufacturers.
Sensors of a particular profile type have a unique process
data structure.
