Accessories for electrical actuators
1.6 Monitoring print
The monitoring print is used for monitoring defined values of the valve and to provide
the user with information on this. It can be equipped with up to four BCD switches and
can be connected to the position signalization. The following switches can be used
optionally:
1. Cycle time extension
2. Cycle time monitoring
3. Cycle counter
4. Motor current monitoring
1.6.1 Cycle time extension
Cycle time extension is used to prevent pressure surges in the system, by closing the
valve more slowly.
1.6.2 Cycle time monitoring
Cycle time monitoring is used for an early detection of problems at the valve or in the
process, which are reflected in extended cycle times.
1.6.3 Cycle counter
The cycle counter is used to inform the user, as soon as the set number of cycles is
reached. The user can choose, whether the motor should stop afterwards or keep
running.
1.6.4 Motor current monitoring
If a valve becomes sluggish over time, due to crystallizing media or foreign
substances, the motor current will increase. Motor current monitoring is used to
immediately detect and localize malfunctions of that kind. It can also be defined, at
which motor current it will be switched off. In combination with the position
signalization, the valve position can be fed back via a 4-20 mA signal.
The product is not intended for any types of use other than those described here.
Non-observance of the instructions contained in this manual will void the
