Accessories for electrical actuators
8.3 Assembly
If additional limit switches are used, the position signalization will always be
installed above these limit switches.
Disconnect the actuator from the supply voltage.
Remove the screws of the limit switches S1 and S2.
Remove position indicator 1.
Attach circular magnet 3, so the notches are on top.
Put position indicator 1 in one of the end positions on the axis.
Connect board 8 of the position signalization to the controller or monitoring print
by using system cable 2.
Connect the supply voltage.
The board has been connected correctly when the LED 6 lights up green.
8.4 Performing a learning run
If the position signalization was mounted at the factory, a learning run with
360 ° has already been done. In this case, the jumper is placed on only one pin.
If the position signalization is mounted by the customer, a 360 ° learning run
has to be done. Therefore, the two pins need to be connected by the jumper.
In order for the position sensors to detect the 4 positions:
Connect both PINs with jumper 7 and carry out one learning run with 360 °.
In order to determine, whether the learning run happens with 360 ° or between
the end positions: Plug jumper 7 on the position signalization:
o
Jumper connects both PINs: Learning run 360 °
o
PINs not connected: Learning run between the end positions S1 and S2
For this, press button 5 (approx. 2 s).
LED 6 will go out briefly.
As soon as the LED lights up again: Release the button.
The actuator carries out a learning run, with LED 6 flashing at the same time.
While LED
is flashing, the actuator is in the learning run mode.

The learning run is finished correctly when the LED lights continuously.
Ensure that the LED lights up continuously.
OPEN and CLOSED positions are adjusted.
Depending on the switching cams S1 and S2: Carry out further learning runs
between the end positions.
