• Wipe excess soil from the handpiece using disposable
paper towels.
• If an automated cleaning method will be used, rinse
the handpiece in sterile distilled water immediately
after use.
Reprocess device(s) as soon as reasonably practical
following use.
1. Disassemble the handpiece from the other system
components.
• Disconnect the handpiece from the console.
• Remove the blade from the handpiece.
• Dispose of all used blades according to hospital
regulations.
2. Attach the soaking cap to the cable connector, for
Formula® handpieces.
• Twist the cap onto the connector, as shown
below.
