5. Automated Wash
• Place the handpiece in an automated washer, on
an incline to aid in drainage.
• Program the washer with the following

6. Dry
Dry the handpiece using a clean cloth. Filtered
pressurized air can be used to assist drying.
7. Inspect
• Visually inspect the handpiece, including all
internal surfaces, for remaining soil. Use an
endoscopic camera and endoscope if necessary
to see the inner surface of the lumen.
• If soil remains, repeat the automated cleaning
procedure, focusing on those areas.
