7.7

Start Mode.

Welding start mode selection.
For applications in automated systems ("Robot interface"
function active) the "two-stages" (2T) is only available.
2T
The welding starts when the start command is acti-
vated and stops when is deactivated it.
4T
Not selectable.
3L
Not selectable.
7.8

Spot.

Operative in Standard mode, Pulsed arc mode, Manual
mode, HD mode and Root mode.
Possible states: OFF = not active (default);
ON
= active.
With the function active, other parameters become avail-
able (see table):
parameter
Spot Time
(s)
Pause Time
(s)
7.9

HSA (Automatic Hot Start).

Operative in Standard mode, Pulsed arc mode, HD
mode and Root mode.
Possible states: OFF = not active (default);
ON
= active.
Useful for getting out "hot" starting in welding alumin-
ium.
With the function active, other parameters become avail-
able (see table):
parameter
Start Curr.
(%)
S. C. Time
(s)
Slope Time
(s)
The welding process starts with the "Start Current".
The time duration of this first current is controlled by the
"Starting Current Time".
After this stage the current connects to the welding current
according to the "Slope Time".

7.10 CRA (Crater Arc).

Operative in Standard mode, Pulsed arc mode, HD
mode and Root mode.
Possible states: OFF = not active (default);
ON
= active.

7.11 Soft Start.

Operative in Standard mode, Pulsed arc mode, Manual
mode, HD mode and Root mode.
It is the wire speed, expressed as a percentage of the speed
set for the welding, before the wire touches the workpiece.
Function always active with the values of table:
parameter
value
(%)
*Auto = the power source uses the value set in the welding
program.

7.12 Burn-back.

Operative in Standard mode, Pulsed arc mode, HD
mode e Root mode.
Adjust the length of the wire leaving the nozzle of the
torch after welding.
parameter
Burn-back
(ms)

7.13 Double Level (optional).

This type of welding varies the intensity between two lev-
els and can be inserted in all synergic processes.
Before setting the double level welding, it is necessary to
make a short bead to determine the wire speed and the cur-
rent to obtain the penetration and the bead width closest to
the type of welding to be made.
The wire feed speed is thus determined (and the corre-
sponding current); the meters per minute that will be set
will be alternatively added to and subtracted from this val-
ue.
Before start working you should not forget that for a cor-
rect bead, the minimum overlapping between two "mesh-
es" must be 50%.
Possible states: OFF = not active (default);
ON
= active.
