With the function active, other parameters become avail-
able (see table):
parameter
Frequency
Pulse Step
(m/min.)
Duty Cycle
Arc Corr.
Frequency: frequency of the double level.
The Hertz frequency is the number of periods per sec-
ond. Period means the speed alternating from the high-
er to the lower values.
G
The lower value, that does not penetrate, is used by the
B
operator to change from one mesh to the next one; the
higher speed, corresponding to the maximum current,
is the penetrating speed. The operator will stop to make
the mesh.
Pulse Step: it is the amplitude of the speed change in m/
min. The speed change determines the sum and the sub-
traction of m/min from the reference speed described
above. Parameters being the same, when the number
increases the mesh is wider and penetration is deeper.
Duty cycle: double level time.
Expressed as a percentage, this is the higher speed/cur-
rent time as compared to period duration.
Parameters being the same, it determines the mesh di-
ameter and therefore the penetration.
Arc Length Correction: Sets arc length of the higher
speed/current.
Warning: make sure that the arc length is the same for
both currents.
7.14 Preflow.
Operative in all processes exuded MMA.

SETTINGS MENU.

default
The menu is accessible from the main page of Fig. 4, with
1,5
T12 to access to the Main Menu, T10 or T11 to select Set-
1,0
tings, T12 again to access the menu.
50
This is the menu for welding system functions setting, is
0
divided into 4 sub-menus,

− Welding;

− Machine;
− Factory setup;
− Languages,
selectable with T10 or T11, each of which contains the
functions to be configured (see Menu Map. par. 10).
8.1
Welding.
8.1.1

H2O MIG.

Is the function for cooling unit management.
The cooling unit has 3 operation modes:
− OFF = never working (default);
− ON
= always working;
− Auto = automatic working.
With T10 or T11 you select the function status, T13 to
confirm and return to the previous page.
Upon power source start-up, the cooling unit starts running
to place the liquid in the cooling circuit under pressure.
If the start command (Arc-on) does not arrive within 30
seconds, the unit stops.
The unit begins working with each start command (Arc-
on) and stops 3 minutes after the start signal goes away.
If the coolant pressure is too low, the power source deliv-
ers no current and the message H2O will appear, flashing,
on D1.
8.1.2

Gas Control.

Operating only in the presence of a Gas Control Kit, art.
102 or 430.
Possible states:
OFF
= off (default);
ON
= active;
AUTO = active, with automatic recognition of the type
gas based on the synergic curve set (only with
art. 430).
default
With the function activated, in the menu "Process Params"
0,1
appear the parameter "Flow Gas", absent before, with
which you can set the desired gas flow (only with art. 430)
and the alarm thresholds for minimum flow (with art. 102
and 430) and maximum (only with art. 430).
For more information, refer to the Instructions Manual of
the Gas Control Kit in use.
