2.4 General safety notes and protective
measures
Safety notes!
Please observe the following items in order to ensure the correct and
safe use of the TR4 series safety switches.
The national/international rules and regulations apply to the installa-
tion, commissioning, use and periodic technical inspections of the TR4
series safety switches, in particular
the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC,
the EMC directive 2004/108/EC,
the Work Equipment Directive 2009/104/EC,
the safety regulations
as well as
the work safety regulations/safety rules.
Safety switches provide personnel safety functions. Incorrect installa-
tion or manipulation can result in serious injuries.
Safety switches are not allowed to be bypassed, turned away, removed
or made ineffective in any other manner.
Liability is excluded in the following cases:
incorrect use
failure to comply with the safety notes
installation and electrical connection by unauthorized personnel
unauthorized modifications
Validate the overall system!
You are responsible for the safe integration of the device in a safe over-
all system. For this purpose the overall system must be validated, e.g.
in accordance with EN ISO 13 849J2.
