Intended use

The portable and network-independent BAT 125 was
developed for mobile use. It is used for testing of 6 volt
and 12 volt starter batteries (lead-acid batteries, AGM
flat plate batteries, AGM spiral batteries, gel batteries)
and inspection of 12 volt and 24 volt starting systems
and charging systems for cars, water crafts, motor-
cycles and light commercial vehicles. You can check the
batteries either in the vehicle while installed or when
removed. It displays the test results and is equipped
with a printer via which the customer is provided with a
printout of the results.
Additional features include the ability to:
R
Testing of batteries at a rated cold start current
(CCA) of 100 A to 2000 A
R
detect bad cells
R
protect against reverse polarity
R
test discharged batteries
R
test multiple rating systems
(EN, EN2, DIN, SAE, IEC, JIS)
R
a multi-lingual user interface
i
For battery assessment, the BAT 125 must be provid-
ed with the cold start current (CCA) in amperes and
the battery standard (EN, EN2, DIN, SAE, IEC, JIS)
as reference values. Correct entry of these reference
values is a prerequisite for accurate battery testing.
