19. Unlock the blade guard from the carabiner and lower
the blade guard front (I). Put the blade guard latch
on the front bolt of the blade guard (J). Tighten the
front bolt of the blade guard.

CAUTION:
product without the blade guard latch
engaged. Do not use the product if the
parts are damaged.
20. Push the lever for cutting depth adjustment rearward
until the cutting blade is above the surface.
21. Start the product. Refer to
page 19 .
22. Listen for unusual sounds. If there are unusual
sounds, remove the cutting blade
a) Examine the cutting blade for damages.
b) Install the cutting blade again. Replace the
cutting blade if it is damaged.

3-speed gearbox
The product has a 3-speed gearbox. The gearbox has 3
speed positions, "L(1)", "H(3)" and "M(2)". 3 different
cutting blade dimensions can be used on the product.
The gear must be changed if the dimension of the
cutting blade is changed. Refer to the table below.
