7.1 Error symptoms

Error symptom
The powder dosing head
does not dispense any
powder.
The liquid dosing head
does not dispense any
liquid.
Liquid leaks from the
bottle cap and/or the
dosing head.
Liquid drips from the
QL003 liquid dosing
head.
The status light of the
pump does not blink when
the device is connected to
power.
On the display, the QL3
pump does not appear in
the list of devices
connected to the balance.

Possible cause
The powder does not
reach the dispensing
mechanism of the dosing
head.
The suction filter is
clogged.
The dosing head is not
installed properly.
The tube is not properly
connected.
The sealing ring and/or
fastening nut are
damaged.
Impurities have entered
the QL003 liquid dosing
head.
The pump is disconnected
from power.
The pump is damaged.
The pump is disconnected
from power.
Diagnostic
If the dosing head is
transparent, visually
inspect through the
housing if the powder is
clogged up.
Check if there is liquid in
the liquid tube.
Disconnect and reconnect
the AC/DC adapter from
the pump. The indicator
light should blink once
when the device is
connected to power.
Check that the AC/DC
adapter and the power
cable are not damaged.
Check with another pump,
if available.
Disconnect and reconnect
the AC/DC adapter from
the pump. The indicator
light should blink once
when the device is
connected to power.
Remedy
Remove the dosing head
and shake it to loosen the
powder.
Clean or replace the
suction filter.
Remove and reinstall the
dosing head in the holder.
Make sure to press until
you hear a click.
Tighten the fastening nut
at the bottle cap and/or
the dosing head.
Make sure that the end of
the tube is cut straight.
Change the sealing ring
and the fastening nut at
the bottle cap and/or the
dosing head. See
"Maintenance".
Make sure that the end of
the tube is cut straight.
Use the Purge function for
at least 10 seconds to
rinse the dosing head.
Check if the dosing head
is still dripping. Repeat if
necessary.
If the dosing head cannot
be cleaned properly,
replace it.
Replace the AC/DC
adapter and power cable.
Replace the pump.
