Assigning an address to the bus coupler

A clear address must be set for the bus coupler using the S5
rotary switch in order for it to be recognized in the DDL line.
Addressing can be done in two ways:
Manual addressing or
W
Automatic addressing
W
Manual and automatic addressing are not possible
simultaneously.
Changes during operation
Changes to the addressing will only be taken over after a
voltage reset.
Never change the settings during operation.
O
Turn the device off before changing the address setting.
O
Each participant is assigned a permanent address between 1
and 14 (1 to E). The following regulations apply here:
No participant may have the address 0.
W
The lowest address must be 1.
W
There must not be any gaps between the addresses.
W
The addressing is, however, independent of the physical
position and type of the participant in the DDL.
How to set the address manually:
Set the appropriate address on the S5 rotary switch
O
(under fitting A).
