Game 2
A fast swapping game
Players: 2
Material: 1 pixie with matching hat, any 2 additional hats
Duration: approx. 5-15 mins.
The aim of the game is to not lose sight of the right hats.
Preparation
In this round, one player is the game organizer. They choose a pixie with its
matching hat and add two more hats to the selection. They put the pixie in
the middle of the table, with the three hats in a line in front of it.
How to play
The player feels the surface of the pixie and then the hidden surfaces underneath
the caps. If they think they have found the right one, they point to it, but don't look
under it..
That's the signal for the game organizer. They quickly change the places of the three
hats by sliding them around and mixing them up. The player must try to keep an eye
on the right hat. When the game organizer has finished, the player points to the hat
that they think is the right one.
This is then checked.
Was the player right? If so, they get the pixie and hat as a winner's point.
Was the player wrong? If so, the pixie and hats are put back in the box.
The roles are now reversed; the player becomes the game organizer and looks for
the pixie and the hats. The game continues until only two hats are left.
At the end
When the game finishes, count up who has won the most pixies.
The player with the most pixies has won.
