11. WARRANTY

11.1. General terms and conditions
Refer to the general terms and conditions of sale on www.aldes.fr.
The system must be installed by a qualified professional in compliance with best practices, the standards in force and the
recommendations in our instructions. The system must be used normally and regularly serviced by a specialist.
11.2. Duration of warranty
The electrical components and removable parts carry a two-year warranty. The tank has a five-year warranty.

11.3. Warranty exclusions

This warranty excludes any defective installation due to failure to comply with the manufacturer's stipulations or with standards
and regulations in force or due to a lack of servicing.
Sub-assemblies, such as motors, are only covered by the warranty if they are never dismantled. Expenses or damage due to
a defective installation (frost, safety unit not connected to the wastewater discharge, no retention tank, for example) or tricky
access cannot under any circumstances be attributed to the manufacturer.
The warranty does not cover failures due to:
• Abnormal environmental conditions:
- Installation in a location susceptible to frost or bad weather.
- Supply with rain or well water or with particularly abnormal attack criteria and non-compliant with the national rules
and standards in force.
Running water hardness must be higher than 12°fH. For areas with water hardness higher than 40°fH, a water softener or
other system that can limit the hardness to 40°fH must be installed. Using a water softener does not waive our warranty,
provided that the water softener is set in accordance with best practices and regularly checked and serviced.
In this case, the residual hardness must be more than 15°fH.
- Water pressure more than 4.5 bar.
- Miscellaneous damage caused by shocks or falls during handling after factory delivery.
- In particular, water damage that could have been avoided by immediate repair to the water heater. The warranty only
applies to the water heater and its components and excludes all or part of the equipment's electrical or hydraulic
installation.
- Power supply with major overvoltages.
• An installation non-compliant with the regulations, national standards in force and best practices, especially:
- Lack or incorrect installation of the safety unit.
- Safety unit installation non-compliant with the national standards in force or use of a worn safety unit on a newly-
installed water heater.
- Modification of the safety unit setting after tampering with the lead seal.
- Use of a bracket/tripod not approved by the manufacturer or installed without complying with the instructions in these
instructions.
- Abnormal corrosion due to incorrect hydraulic connection (iron-copper direct contact); no isolating connectors.
- Defective electrical connection non-compliant with the national installation standards in force, incorrect earthing,
insufficient cable section, failure to comply with stipulated connection diagrams, etc.
- Equipment powered on without being filled beforehand (heating dry).
- Equipment installed in a tight space, electrical parts inaccessible.
- Use of spare parts not approved by the manufacturer
• No or insufficient servicing:
- Abnormal furring of heating elements and safety components.
- No servicing of the safety unit resulting in overpressures.
- Bodywork subject to outside attacks.
- Equipment modified without the opinion of the manufacturer or spare parts used not listed by him.
