Install new components
■ Attach control piston [16-7] using
SATA universal wrench.
■ Install gasket [16-6], washer [16-5]
and pressure spring [16-4] in control
piston.
■ Slide on collar [16-3]. Pay attention to
alignment of groove [16-10].
■ Install washer [16-2].
■ Tighten hollow screw [16-1].
■ Install O-ring [16-8].
■ Tighten Allen screw [16-9].
■ Insert control piston [15-8].
■ Insert paint needle [15-7].
■ Install both springs [15-5], [15-6].
■ Screw on end cap [15-4].
■ Install spring [15-3].
■ Insert washer [15-2] into control cap
[15-1].
■ Screw on control cap.
■ Readjust the material flow rate pa-
rameters using the dials (see Chap.
9.2).
10.8. Replace control piston
seal retainer
Remove control piston seal retainer
■ Unscrew regulating cap [17-1].
■ Remove washer [17-2] and spring
[17-3].
■ Unscrew and remove end cap [17-4].
■ Remove both springs [17-5], [17-6].
■ Remove paint needle [17-7].
■ Pull out control piston [17-8] with flat-
nose pliers.
■ Unscrew seal retainer (19 mm) [17-
9].
■ Check parts for damage and contami-
nation, clean or replace as required.
Install new control piston seal retainer
■ Screw in seal retainer [17-9].

■ Insert control piston [17-8].
■ Insert paint needle [17-7].
■ Install both springs [17-5], [17-6].
■ Screw on end cap [17-4].
■ Install spring [17-3].
■ Insert washer [17-2] into control cap
[17-1].
■ Screw on control cap.
■ Readjust the material flow rate pa-
rameters using the dials (see Chap.
9.2).

11. Care and Storage

Careful handling as well as continu-
ous service and care of the product
are required to guarantee proper
function of the automatic gun.
Clean automatic guns each time
after use and check for proper func-
tion and leakage.
After cleaning, dry entire automatic
gun with clean compressed air.
Danger!
If the compressed air circuit
and material supply are not dis-
connected before performing
cleaning work, components can
detach and/or material escape
unexpectedly.
→ Always disconnect automatic
gun from compressed air cir-
cuit and material supply before
performing any type of cleaning
work.
