4.4 Connecting/Removing Sensors
Connect the sensor and make sure that the plugs are properly inserted. If you use a sensor with a
built-in temperature probe connect the other lead to the ATC int socket. If you use a separate tem­
perature sensor, connect the lead to the ATC ext socket.
Twist the RCA (Cinch) plug to ease the attachment of the sensor.
We strongly recommend connecting or removing sensors only when no analysis is running.

ISM sensor
When connecting an ISM
analysis is running the senor identification will only be displayed when the endpoint of the analysis
was reached.
4.5 Connecting/Removing Rondolino
Rondolino sample changer can be connected to the instrument. Use the USB cable to connect the
instrument to the USB-TTL box. The Rondolino sample changer is connected to the TTL box with
the RS232 cable.

Connect the propellor stirrer to the stirrer adapter cable and then to the instrument. The propeller
stirrer is an overhead stirrer. Note the corresponding chapter of the operating instructions concern­
ing the property settings of peripheral devices.
4.6 Connecting/Removing Magnetic Stirrer
You can connect uMix™, the METTLER TOLEDO external magnetic stirrer to the instrument. This
stirrer is powered by the instrument and will be automatically switched on/off during an analysis
according to the settings by the user. Before connecting a stirrer, switch off the instrument. Use the
appropriate socket on the rear side, note the designation. Note the corresponding chapter of the
operating instructions concerning the property settings of peripheral devices.
