3.3.2Manual pairing

Each new or reset Giga Bridge adapter added to an
existing Giga Bridge network will not be found and
integrated automatically as the Giga Bridge adapt-
ers of your existing network are already in paired
mode. Therefore, the connection (pairing) to the
new or reset Giga Bridge adapter must be establis-
hed manually. To do this, the new or reset
Giga Bridge adapter must be connected both to
the mains and by cable to an already paired
Giga Bridge adapter of your existing network (net-
work cable to the G.hn phone line socket or coax
cable to the coaxial socket.)
Wiring using network cable
Plug the new/reset Giga Bridge adapter into an

available power socket next to a paired
Giga Bridge adapter of your existing network.
Connect both Giga Bridge adapters via the pro-

vided network cable to the G.hn phone line
sockets (phone).
Press the G.hn/Reset button of the existing

Giga Bridge adapter in the network for approx.
1 sec. The LED of this adapter now flashes
white.
The new/reset Giga Bridge adapter pairs auto-

matically so no button needs to be pressed.
The LED of this adapter now also flashes white.
After a short time (within three minutes),
the flashing LED becomes a steady white
light. The Giga Bridge adapter has success-
fully extended the network.
3.4 Expansion of the Ethernet-
WAN connection
For the initial installation, we recommend
setting up (pairing, see chapter 3.3 Pairing
– Establishing a G.hn connection) the
adapters in the vicinity of the ONT and using
a power strip for the installation process.
When operated normally, all adapters of the
Giga Bridge should be plugged into single
power sockets at the place of destination.
