3.5.2Expanding the existing
Giga Bridge network by adding
another adapter
Each new Giga Bridge adapter added to an exist-
ing Giga Bridge network will not be found and in-
tegrated automatically as the Giga Bridge adapters
of your existing network are already in paired
mode. Therefore, the connection (pairing) to the
new Giga Bridge adapter must be established ma-
nually. To do this, the new Giga Bridge adapter
must be connected both to the mains and by cable
to an already paired Giga Bridge adapter of your
existing network (network cable to the G.hn phone
line socket or coax cable to the coaxial socket.) Pro-
ceed as follows:
Plug the new Giga Bridge adapter into an avail-

able power socket next to a paired Giga Bridge
adapter of your existing network.
Connect both Giga Bridge adapters via the pro-

vided network cable to the G.hn phone line
sockets (phone).
Press the G.hn/Reset button of the existing

Giga Bridge adapter in the network for approx.
1 sec. The LED of this adapter now flashes
white.

The new Giga Bridge adapter pairs automati-

cally so no button needs to be pressed. The LED
of this adapter now also flashes white.
After a short time (within three minutes), the

flashing LEDs become a steady white light. The
Giga Bridge adapters connected with each
other and you can remove the network cable
again.
The new Giga Bridge adapter can now be

placed at the desired location of use.
Connect the new Giga Bridge adapter using

the telephone line (G.hn phone line socket,
phone) or coaxial cable (F-type connection,
coax) to a connection already in the wall.
Finally, connect the new Giga Bridge adapter

using the provided network cable with the
Ethernet port of the desired device.
Set-up of the Giga Bridge adapter is com-
pleted and your existing network is expan-
ded.
