General Instructions

1.1

Comply with the instructions in the instruction manual

The basic condition for safe use and trouble-free operation of the clamping system is knowledge of the
basic safety instructions and safety regulations.
This instruction manual contains very important instructions for operating the clamping system in a safe
manner.
All persons who use the clamping system must comply with this instruction manual, especially the safety
instructions.
In addition the rules and regulations for accident prevention applicable at the place of work must be
complied with.
1.2

Duties of the operating company

The operating company has the duty of ensuring that use of the clamping system is restricted only to
those persons who
„ are familiar with the applicable regulations regarding safety at work and accident prevention and have
been instructed in the operation of the clamping system
„ have read and understood the "Safety" chapter and the warning instructions in this instruction
manual, and have acknowledged this with their signature.
1.3

Duties of the personnel

Before starting work, all persons who work with the clamping system must undertake to
„ comply with the applicable regulations regarding safety at work and accident prevention

„ read the "Safety" chapter and the warning instructions in this instruction manual, and confirm by their
signature that they have understood it.
„ read the instruction manual and especially the safety instructions for the machine on which the
clamping system is installed.
The operators must:
X In the event of danger or an accident press the EMERGENCY STOP button on the machine on which
the clamping system is installed.
X In the event of a "near-miss accident", inform the person responsible for the machine on which the
clamping system is installed.
