Run-out compensation
!
Observe the following procedure for run-out com-
pensation using the Multiquick clamp unit.
1. Disengage the securing cable at the rim.
2. Perform run-out compensation.
3. Engage the securing cable at the rim.
!
Make sure that use is made of 4 identical clamps to
ensure correct measurement (measurement error).
!
Use is only to be made of the universal quick-action
clamp for moving run-out compensation.
!
Drive onto the measurement bay before fitting the
clamps.
!
The locking pins must be in position when driving onto
and off the turntables or sliding bases.

i
The vehicle must be moved on the same level. In
other words, the runway must be flat.
i
Run-out compensation is called up automatically
with program-driven measurement.
i
Run-out compensation can be performed by pushing
or driving the vehicle slowly

Run-out compensation procedure
1. Press <F3> to continue with the program.
? Lighting adjustment is performed.
? A backwards arrow appears on the screen.
2. Push the vehicle back by an approx. 30° wheel rota-
tion (in direction opposite to travel).
? A forwards arrow appears on the screen.
3. Push the vehicle forwards evenly and steadily by an
approx. 60° wheel rotation (in direction of travel).
? The system then determines the run-out.
? The progress of the calculation is displayed on
the screen.
4. Position the vehicle on the turntables again.
"
Run-out compensation performed successfully.
i
The approx. 60° wheel rotation should take roughly
3-4 seconds.
i
Do not step between the camera and the measure-
ment plates during measurement.
i
An error message appears on the screen if the vehicle has
been pushed forwards too quickly or too slowly or the
60° rotation has not been fully attained. Run-out compen-
sation must be repeated.
