Possible Causes
A fault was found internal to drive
No DIP Switch set or more than one (1)
DIP Switch set for Motor and/or Pump
size
Invalid combination of DIP switches for
drive type (SD or MD mode), Motor hp,
and Pump hp.
Moisture Sensor has detected moisture
or water
External device wired to the WET SEN-
SOR terminal has satisfied the config-
ured fault condition
Input is incorrectly configured
External device wired to the AUX IN ter-
minal has satisfied the configured fault
condition
Input is incorrectly configured
Pressure transducer has failed
Pressure transducer is incorrectly wired
Pressure transducer signal is outside of
the expected range
Pressure transducer is being used but
DIP SW1 Position 5 is in the UP position
Pressure Sensor is being used but SW1
Position 5 is in the DOWN position
Internal real time clock is not
programmed
Real time clock battery on Control Board
is loose
Real time clock battery is dead
Drives using the built-in Duplex Alterna-
tor function are configured with pressure
sensor types that do not match
Drives using the built-in Duplex Alterna-
tor function have firmware versions that
are not matched
Improper Duplex Alternator cable
connection
Duplex Alternator cable is damaged
Corrective Action
•
Contact your Franklin Electric Service Personnel
•
Unit may require replacement. Contact your
supplier.
•
Check DIP switch settings
•
Check Moisture Sensor location for moisture or pres-
ence of water. Clean and dry area. If drive is
stopped, power must be cycled to clear the fault.
•
Ensure Moisture Sensor input is configured correctly
•
Ensure the Auxiliary Input is configured correctly
•
Replace pressure transducer
•
Check pressure transducer wiring connections
•
Ensure DIP SW1 Position 5 is in the correct position
for the sensor type being used (DOWN for pressure
transducer, UP for pressure switch)
•
Ensure battery is properly inserted. If corrected, re-
connect to drive using mobile app to reset the inter-
nal clock time
•
Replace battery. If replaced, reconnect to the drive
using the mobile app to reset the internal clock time
•
Ensure the drives using the built-in Duplex Alterna-
tor function have matching pressure sensor types,
either a traditional pressure sensor or a pressure
transducer.
•
Make sure the transducers are both PSI type or bar
type, if both drives are configured with a pressure
transducer.
•
Update the firmware version of one or both drives
to a matching firmware version using the FE Con-
nect mobile app.
•
Check Duplex Alternator cable connections
•
Replace Duplex Alternator cable
