Safety advice concerning adjustments
Maintenance and adjustment work must be carried
out with the work vehicle on flat, compact ground,
with the tractor engine off, parking brake engaged,
Adjusting the spacing between the packing wheels and the ploughshare
The packing wheels (B) are used to ridge and compact
the soil around the planted seedlings.
The distance between the packing wheels and the
ploughshare must be adjusted according to the type of
ground.
Proceed as outlined below.
1) Loosen the screws (A).
2) Move the packing wheel unit (B) as required.
3) After adjustment, tighten the screws (A).
Adjusting the symmetry between the packing wheels and the ploughsharey
Because of their incorrect position, the packing wheels
may rub against the share.
Proceed as outlined below.
1) Loosen screw (A) and screw (B).
2) Centre the packing wheels with the ploughshare.
3) Tighten the screws (A and B).
Adjusting the packing efficiency
Adjust the spacing between the packing wheels (B) as
required.
The farther apart the wheels are, the less efficient the
packing is.
The closer the wheels are, the more efficient the packing
is.
Proceed as outlined below.
1) Remove the pins (A).
2) Open out the packing wheels (B) as required and
then lock them in position with the relative pins (A).
