plane. 15 to 20 mm from the top face of the piston liner. Then measure the gap,
the distance of the opening should be from 0.3 to 0.4 mm. See figure 7 for
details. If the space of the opening is smaller, modify it; if the space of the
opening is big, replace it with a new one, it is also necessary to measure the
space between the end face of the piston ring and piston ring groove with a slot
meter. The space for the first ring of gas should be 0.060 to 0.092 mm, and the
second ring of gas will be 0.040 to 0.072 mm, see Figure 8 for details.
A special tool must be used to remove the piston ring. When assembling, the
positions of the openings of each piston ring should be staggered 120 degrees
without putting them in the direction of piston pin.
During maintenance, if the piston ring does not move smoothly, dip it into diesel
fuel for twenty-four hours or more, then tap the piston rings. After they are
loosened, remove them from the fuel and wash with fuel oil or carbon
tetrachloride.
Check if there is any breakdown or scratch on the piston rings, change a new
one if you find any defects.
The steel rod is made of iron N45 with forging technique. The rod has an arm
with a rigid connecting shaft. The parting plane of the large end is 45 degrees of
the connecting shaft body. The crankshaft and piston connection will have its
corresponding hole.Assembly according to marks to avoid an assembly error.
The positioning lip is used for positioning of the connecting rod and the housing
of the connecting rod. Bolts for the connecting rods are made of 40Cr steel.
Caps of the upper and lower pipes of the connecting rod are made of an alloy of
copper and lead with tin-aluminum support. When space exceeds its limit wear
values or the surface is worn or burnt. Always replace them with a new pair.
Before the review and removal of the entire connecting rod, clean carbon
deposits and oil stains on the top of the cylinder liner. Apply a film of clean
engine oil to the cylinder liner, outer surface of the piston, piston rings, shaft
sleeve connecting rod, crankshaft, connecting rod axis, etc. then place the
guide sleeve in the cylinder liner. Turn the crankshaft, mount the connecting rod
on the cylinder liner carefully, and tighten the bolts in turn with the moment of
force required.
