There are different ways to tune in stations
with ST-S211/ST-S311:
® Automatic tuning
® Manual tuning
® Direct tuning (ST-S311 only)

This section shows you how to use
automatic, manual and direct tuning. Preset
tuning is described on pages 22-34

Automatic tuning allows you to quickly
locate a station without having to know its
frequency.
1
Select TUNER on the amplifier.
2 Press BAND to select the desired
band. (ST-S311: You can only select
the FM band.)
The band you select should appear on
the display. If it doesn't, press BAND
again to make it appear.
3 Press TUNING/PRESET to select
tuning operations.
TUNING should appear on the display. If
it doesn't, press TUNING/PRESET again
to make it appear.
4 Press TUNE MODE to select
automatic tuning.
AUTO should appear on the display. If it
doesn't, press TUNE MODE again to
make it appear.
5 Turn the tuning knob slightly one
time.
© To tune in higher frequencies, turn the
knob clockwise.
®To tune in lower frequencies, turn the
knob counterclockwise.
When the tuner tocates a station, it
automatically stops and locks into the
station. The signal meter indicates the
strength of the broadcast signal. TUNED
appears on the display when the station is
fully tuned in. (ST-S311: The signal meter
disappears after 4 seconds.)
6 Repeat step 5 until you tune in the
appropriate station.

Paccord automatique, l'accord manuel et
Paccord par accés direct. L'accord des
stations mémorisées est décrit aux
pages 22-34.

L'accord automatique vous permet de
trouver rapidement une station sans devoir
connaitre sa fréquence.
1 Sélectionner TUNER sur
l'amplificateur.
2 Appuyez sur BAND pour sélectionner
la gamme d'ondes, comme suit.
(ST-S311: Vous ne pouvez
sélectionner que la gamme FM.)
La gamme d'ondes choisie doit
apparaitre sur l'afficheur. Si elle
n'apparait pas, appuyer de nouveau sur
BAND pour l'afficher.
3 Appuyer sur TUNING/PRESET pour
sélectionner les opérations d'accord.
TUNING doit apparaitre sur l'afficheur,
sinon appuyer de nouveau sur TUNING/
PRESET pour le faire apparaitre.
4 Appuyer sur TUNE MODE pour
sélectionner Il'accord automatique.
AUTO doit apparaitre sur l'afficheur,
sinon appuyer de nouveau sur TUNE
MODE pour le faire apparaitre.
5 Tourner légérement le bouton
d'accord une fois.
® Pour accorder une station a fréquence
supérieure, tourner le bouton dans le sens
des aiguilles d'une montre.
© Pour accorder une station a fréquence
inférieure, tourner le bouton dans le sens
contraire des aiguilles d'une montre.
Lorsque le tuner localise un émetteur, il
s'arréte et s'accorde sur cette station.
L'indicateur de signal montre l'intensité du
signal d'émission. TUNED apparait sur
l'afficheur lorsque la station est bien
accordée. (ST-S311: L'indicateur de signal
disparait au bout de 4 secondes.)
6 Répéter I'étape 5 jusqu'a ce que la
station souhaitée soit accordée.
