Searching for RDS Stations by
Program Type
This procedure shows you how to search
through all the stored RDS stations for a
specific type of program currently being
broadcast. The different types of programs
that you can select are described on page
38.
Note
The following procedure shows you how to
search for and tune in any type of program
currently being broadcast from the RDS
stations stored in the tuner. However, if you
want to tune in traffic, news, or information
programs as they occur on the RDS
network, use the EON feature described on
pages 44 and 46. The EON feature causes
the tuner to automatically switch to these
programs when they first start broadcasting.

Press TUNE MODE to select either
automatic or manual scanning.
To select automatic scanning, AUTO
should appear. To select manual
scanning, AUTO should not appear.

Press PTY to select program type
operations.
"PTY Select" appears on the display. If
it doesn't, press PTY again to make it
appear.

Use the tuning knob to select the
type of program to search for.
Turn and hold the knob to view the
different types of programs. When the
type of program you want to search for
appears on the display, release the
knob.

Press PTY again.
"PTY Search" and the program type
you selected in step 3 begin flashing in
turns.
5a tf you selected automatic tuning in
step 1, the tuner automatically
begins scanning for the program
type after a few seconds.
When the station you want to listen to
appears on the display, press PTY to
tune in the station.

Remarque
Les démarches suivantes vous expliquent
comment chercher et capter un type de
programme en cours d'émission parmi les
stations RDS mémorisées. Cependant, si
vous voulez écouter des informations sur la
circulation, des nouvelles, ou des
programmes d'informations au fur et a
mesure qu'ils sont émis sur le réseau RDS,
utilisez la fonction EON décrite aux pages
44 et 46, car la fonction EON permet au
tuner de passer automatiquement sur ces
programmes dés qu'ils sont transmis.

Appuyez sur TUNE MODE pour
sélectionner le balayage
automatique ou manuel.
Pour sélectionner le balayage
automatique, "AUTO" doit apparaitre.
Pour sélectionner le balayage manuel,
"AUTO" ne doit pas apparaitre.

Appuyer sur PTY pour sélectionner
la recherche par type de
programme.
"PTY Select" apparait sur l'afficheur,
sinon appuyer de nouveau sur PTY
pour le faire apparaitre.

Utiliser le bouton d'accord pour
choisir le type du programme a
trouver.
Tourner et tenir je bouton pour passer
les différents types de programmes en
revue. Lorsque le type de programme
souhaité apparait sur l'afficheur,
relacher le bouton.

Appuyer de nouvea ! sur PTY.
"PTY Search". et le type de programme
sélectionné a |'étape 3 clignotent
alternativement.
5a Sile balayage automatique a été
sélectionné a |'étape 1, le tuner
commence automatiquement le
balayage du type de programme au
bout de quelques secondes.
Lorsque la station souhaitée apparait
sur lafficheur, appuyer sur PTY pour
l'accorder.
