To fix the pump suction flange to a pipe with larger Ø an eccentric fitting must be used.
When the geodetic level of the discharge is greater than 15m, a check valve must be
installed between the pump and the shut off valve to protect the pump from "water hammer".
Do not use the pump as a support for the pipes. The pipes must be fixed on its own
supports. The weight of the pipes filled with water must be taken into account.
He position of the pipes must coincide perfectly, without deviations with the inlet and
outlet flanges of the pump. This prevents pipe tensions from causing alignment errors between
the pump body and the motor shaft, which would reduce the life cycle o the mechanical seal.
The fixation of the pump must be rigid and will be placed on a firm base. Please check
that the base is perfectly level. If not you will have to use adjusting shims between the
base and the anchoring bolts.
The feet or base of the pump has to be securely fixed to the concrete base with grub
screws or anchor bolts. Tightening should prevent the elements from unscrewing due to
vibrations. Periodically check the machine's running behaviour.
El cimiento debe ser independiente del suelo circundante y descansar sobre un fondo con
baja transmisión de las vibraciones
It is recommended to insert an anti-vibration coupling that
absorb the vibrations of the pump and the expansion of the pipes at
the inlet and outlet flanges of the pump.
During assembly check that the seals between the flanges do
not protrude into the pipes. Before fixing the pipes, ensure their
internal cleanliness.
Suction
At least 1 meter until the
first valve or elbow.
Distances to the Valves and other obstacles
Discharge
At least 1 meter until the
first valve or elbow.
Motor
To allow for proper ventilation:
The distance between the fan
cover and the wall must be at
least 2.5 times the Ø of the fan.
