5.6 Electrical connection
In general, the electrical installation will be in accordance with the regulations and
complementary provisions applicable in each country.
It is mandatory that the electrical installation and connections to the pump are verified by
an authorized electrician.
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after-sales service,
or similar qualified personnel to avoid danger.
The power grid will have neutral and ground conductors. The ground wires should
be the first to be connected. For alternating current, use a connection hose type H07
RN-F where the cable section adapts to the power of the motor and the length of the
cable, according to the regulations in the country where the pump is being installed.
The mains voltage must correspond to that indicated on the pump's
characteristics plate. The pump motor supports maximum variations of ± 10%.
The section of the conductors to be used must be sufficient to withstand the
intensity absorbed by the pump (see nameplate on the motor).
The grid ground conductor will be electrically bonded to the metal parts of the
equipment that are not live.
It is mandaroey to install en electrical protection and maneuver panel in which all the
required and other recommended elements are located, which in general will have:

Protection devices against shot circuits and overloads in the motors.
• Use a motor protector with magneto-thermal protection.
• Protect the pump from overload with a motor safety switch.
• Conveniently adjust the termal value, accoridng to the termal protector table. For
connection ∆ (3 x 230 V network) the protector highest indicated value
corresponds. For connection Υ (3 x 400 V network) the lowest value protector
corresponds.
• Connect the lowest voltaje to ∆ and the highest voltaje to Υ for voltage ranges
other than: 230/400V;400/690V.
• For A/C, use a connection hose type H07 RN-F where the cable section adapts
to the power of the motor and the length of the cable.
• The network cable may only be connected by qualified and authorized
personnel.

Differential circuit breaker (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30
mA
The electrical characteristics of the protection devices and their regulation will be in
accordance with those of the motors to be protected and with the service conditions provided
contacts at least 3mm apart.
