4.1 Controls

Before operating the machine ensure that you have
properly understood the operation and function of all
the controls, as set out in this
The machine controls are located in three fundamental
units:
1- User interface (Fig. 4.1-1)
2- Control unit (Fig. 4.1-2)
3- Pedal command unit (Fig. 4.1-3)
4.1.1

User Interface

The User interface (Fig. 4.1-1) is used for entering
wheel data, selecting the type of tire and enabling/
disabling AUTOMATIC and MANUAL modes.
The panel is divided into two parts:
-
a Keyboard (A, Fig. 4.1-1), for the user to operate
the software.
-
a Display (B, Fig. 4.1-1), for supplying the operator
with information regarding machine settings.

KEYBOARD Fig. 4.1-1
Key 1 and Key 2
(only in MANUAL
Mode) allow you to enter data. They
are used to set the rim diameter.
Note:
The rim diameter cannot be changed after
the machine sensors have registered the
required measurements. To change the
value, you need to reset the machine, i.e.
to unclamp and then reclamp the wheel.
Press and hold down both keys simultaneously
to enable the "EXPERT
to access the advanced Automatic Subprograms
described in the relative chapter.
Key 3 and Key 4
Reserved for Service technicians.
Key 5
Enables the automatic mounting procedure.
Key 6
Enables the automatic demounting procedure.
Key 7
MANUAL mode: press this key to exit the AUTOMATIC
mode. In any phase of the procedure this key will abort
the automated part that is operating. Remove any error
or warning messages, to continue the operation.
Key 8
Used to select the type of tire: NORMAL, SPORT, or
SOFT, see the Tire Type chapter.
