GREASE THE MOTOR

Under normal conditions no additional greasing of the motor is necessary.
9.2.
EXCHANGING THE HOLD-DOWN CLAMPS

ü If the hold-down clamps are no longer holding down the cover on the trough.

1. Loosen the upper cap nut from the hold-down clamp.
»
Take off the hold-down clamp together with the plastic cover.
2. Insert a new hold-down clamp.
3. Use a wrench to screw the cap nut on to the hold-down clamp.

4. The hold-down clamp has now been renewed.
9.3.
EXCHANGING THE PUMP HOSE

ü Disconnect the surface finishing machine from the power supply and secure it
against being switched on again.
ü Drain the water from the water tank and collect it in a suitable vessel.
1. Remove the screws from the housing cover of the hose cover.
2. Remove the housing cover, undo the hose clips.

3. Remove the hose.
4. Lubricate the external sleeve of the new hose with suitable lubricant.
5. Fit the new hose.
6. Position the hose clips, make sure they are correctly seated, and tighten the hose

clips.

Installation of the hose is now complete
7. Insert the housing cover.
8. Wet the screws with suitable thread locking agent.

Maintenance work
Clean abrasive chips and particles from the water drain in-
serts in the trough.
Clean the stainless steel filter (stainless steel filter in the
water tank).
Check the water tank and float for correct operation
and clean them.

Visual inspection of the electric wiring.
Clean the pump and all parts of the pump.
Replace the pump suction and discharge hoses.
Motor unit: Check the motor, covers, seals and screw
fastenings.
Check the electrical equipment.
Safety check at the installation location.
Trough: Check the trough, PU coating, frame, steel springs
and sieve.
Water pump: Grease the contact face between the rollers
and water hose.
Possible cause
No power supply.
Fault in the power supply.
VFD fault (frequency inverter fault)
Motor fault.
Emergency stop switch was pressed.
Frequency inverter defective.
Communications fault.
Motor fuse tripped.
Alarm tripped.
PLC error.
No water in the tank.
No connection to the tank.

9. Tighten the housing cover screws.
10. Fill the water tank according to the manufacturer's instructions.
11. Provide a power supply to the surface finishing machine.
12. Perform an operational test.

The surface finishing machine is now ready for use, the maintenance work is
complete.

10. Faults and troubleshooting
Action
Disconnect the power supply unit and
single-phase plug and connect them
again.
Check the voltage.
Check the frequency inverter display.
Check the emergency stop switch.
Remedy the fault and unlatch the emer-
gency stop switch.
Check the frequency inverter.
Check the Profinet connection and supply
cables.
Check the fuse.
Check for error messages.
Check the PLC. Restart the surface finishing
machine. If necessary, contact Hoffmann
Group customer service.
Fill the tank with water.
Check the connection hoses.
