Transport, place of erection and storage

Use transport vehicles, hoists and lifting gear designed to accept the weight and size of the setting device, and which
satisfy the requirements for safe transport.

Do not step under the setting bench or reach underneath it.

Avoid heavy shaking, impacts and point loading on the housing.

Position the monitor parallel to the setting bench. Do not use the monitor arm as a lifting point.

Use only the attachment points provided for transport.

Do not use the transport restraints for lifting the setting bench.

Do not lift the setting bench using the ceramic gauge blocks.

Immediately on receipt check the product for damage in transport. Damaged products must not be installed or commis-
sioned.

4.1.
AMBIENT CONDITIONS FOR TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
Ambient temperature between +5°C and +40°C.
No dust.

Do not expose to direct sunlight, rain or moisture.
4.2.
AMBIENT CONDITIONS AT THE PLACE OF INSTALLATION
Erect the setting bench only on a support that is solid, flat, and suitable for the weight and size of the setting bench.
Do not expose the setting bench to any dust, dirt, moisture or shaking.

For maintenance purposes, allow one metre from other objects or walls on all sides of the setting bench.
4.3.
TRANSPORT TO THE PLACE OF INSTALLATION

1. Drive the forklift truck forwards so that the forks enter under the pallet until they project beyond the far side.
2. Lift the pallet together with the setting bench and transport it to the place of erection.
3. Put down the pallet.

4. Undo the bolted fastenings securing the wooden case to the pallet, and remove the wooden case.
5. Carefully remove the protective material from the setting bench.
NOTICE! Do not use sharp objects to remove the protective material.

6. Undo the bolted fastenings securing the transport restraints to the pallet.
7. Place suitable heavy-duty slings between the adjustable feet and the outer edges of the setting bench.

The adjustable feet and screws must remain accessible.
8. Slowly lift the setting bench and check that it is seated securely on the heavy-duty slings.

9. Loosen the screws and adjustable feet, remove the transport restraints.
10. Carefully put down the setting bench at the place of installation.
4.4.
INSTALLATION

1. Use a spirit level to check the correct level.
2. To adjust the adjustable feet, release the lock nuts (the lower nuts) and adjust the adjustable feet by means of the upper
nuts.

3. Tighten the lock nuts (the lower nuts).

Transport should be performed by specialists for mechanical work, trained for use of the lifting
gear and means of transport employed. Experienced in the transport of heavy and bulky items.
