12.2.4 Normal operation

During normal operation, all functions are
controlled by an external controller.
Note
Observe the installation and operating
instructions for the controller and the
dosing pump.
If no mA input signal is present (depending
on the setpoint range that has been set,
Note
this will be 4 mA or 0 mA), the servomotor
moves to the min. final position (0 % or
programmed min. final position).

12.2.5 Operating the servomotor manually

Warning

Do not touch bare wires or clamping
screws.
Programmed final positions are only valid
if the servomotor is being operated in
normal operation (service switch set to
"Auto").
Caution
When the switch to manual operation is
made, the controller PCB is switched off
and the servomotor uses the mechanical
final positions of the limit switch cams.
If there are faults in the servomotor, such as a faulty
or missing current input or faults in the installation,
the stroke length may need to be manually adjusted.
For information on manually adjusting the
servomotor, see fig. 13:
1. Unscrew the hood screws and remove the hood.
2. Set the service switch (item 1) to the "Manual"
position.
– The "Auto/Man" DIP switch remains in the
"Auto" position.
3. Use the manual adjusting switch to move the
servomotor in the "-" (min.) or "+" (max.)
direction.
Once the fault has been rectified, reset the
installation to automatic mode:
4. Reset the service switch (item 1) to the "Auto"
position.
5. Close the hood again and tighten the hood
screws.

13. Maintenance

The servomotor features permanent
Note
lubrication and is maintenance-free.
Warning
Switch off the entire installation before any
repair work is carried out.
Disconnect the supply voltage before
opening the housing.

14. Disposal

This product or parts of it must be disposed of in an
environmentally sound way. Use appropriate waste
collection services. If this is not possible, contact the

nearest Grundfos company or service workshop.

Subject to alterations.
