Interrupting the exposure scan process

If the exposure button is prematurely released, the scan
process is interrupted. The kV/mA value and the Ready
LED flash together.
The elapsed exposure time is shown on the Multitimer.
The image taken until then is shown on the SIDEXIS
screen.
On the height adjustment display on Control Panel A,
dots are again displayed under the digits and Help LED
(19) for height adjustment illuminates ("FH adjust-
ment help message" section, see page 12).

It is essential to have the patient step out of the Cepha-
lometer.
Before initiating a new scan, first press the ↑ or ↓ button
to return the unit to the FH position at the head support.
The dots disappear again. Then press one of the R but-
tons, the Ready LED extinguishes.
Reposition the patient as usual in the head support.
Press the exposure button to initiate a new scan.

Automatic exposure blockage

(thermal protection of the tube)
The automatic exposure blockage device prevents pre-
mature triggering of a new exposure.
Help LED (17) for the cool-down interval illuminates
on Control Panel A.
After the exposure button has been actuated, the auto-

matic cool-down interval is indicated. The Ready LED on
the Multitimer continues flashing until the cool-down
interval has expired
An exposure can only be triggered when all LEDs have
extinguished.
