DESCRIPTION:
Figure 2 identifi es key components of the Ultra-Lok™ Self-Retracting Lanyards (SRLs) and Self-Retracting
Lanyards with Integral Rescue (SRL-Rs). The Ultra-Lok SRLs covered in this Instruction Manual are drum wound
Wire Rope Lifelines (C) which retract into a thermoplastic or aluminum Housing (B). They hang from overhead
anchorage by a Carabiner attached through the Swivel Eye (A) on the top of the SRL. A Self-Locking Snap Hook
(E) on the end of the Lifeline attaches to the designated Fall Arrest connection on a Full Body Harness. A Bumper
(D), equipped with an i-Safe RFID Tag, protects the Wire Rope and Ferrules securing the Snap Hook from abrasion
and corrosion. Ultra-Lok SRL models are available with RSQ Dual-Mode Rescue/Descent or 3-Way Emergency
Retrieval options:
ULTRA-LOK™ RSQ™ SRL MODELS: Ultra-Lok RSQ SRLs meet EN341 Class D requirements for Rescue
Descender Devices. They are equipped with an RSQ Rescue/Descent Knob (F) for automatic or assisted Rescue
Descent.
ULTRA-LOK™ 3-WAY EMERGENCY RETRIEVAL SRL-R MODELS: Ultra-Lok Retrieval SRLs meet EN1496
Class B requirements for Rescue Lifting Devices. They are equipped with a Rescue Hand Crank (G) and Tripod
Mounting Bracket (H) for Confi ned Space Entry and Rescue Retrieval.
