6.6- Synchronizing the rotors

The Harvester leaves the factory with the two
chopper rotors synchronized, so that the
knives of one do not cut at the same time
as the knives of the other. Maintaining this
regulation is very important, as this way the
harvester will require less power from the
tractor during the chipping.
The couplings (A) keep the rotors synchronized.
If these couplings are removed, when
reassembling them, the timing indicated
below must be checked.
RIGHT SYNCHRONISM
The knives of the two
rotors are interspersed.
WRONG SYNCHRONISM
The knives are aligned
and will cut at the same
time. This will require
more power to chop the
plants, overloading the
machine and the tractor.
