6.7- How to adjust the knives with the rotor counter knives

The correct adjustment of the knives with
the counter knife ensures greater operating
efficiency, better cut quality, less tractor power
and reduced fuel consumption. Should take a
maximum gap of 0.5 mm between knife and
counter knife for best machine performance.
Check the clearance after each sharpening
and adjust as necessary, proceeding as
follows.
ATTENTION!
Turn off the tractor and remove
the ignition key before starting
the following procedure.
PROCEDURE:
To access the rotor counter knives,

articulate the platforms to the sides (see
instructions in item 6.3).
Loosen the nuts on the three bolts (A) that

secure the vertical counter knife.
Loosen the two bolts (B).

Pull the scraper (D) all the way forward.
4.
Move the counter knife (C), bringing it

closer to the knives, so that the knife/
counter knife distance is up to 0.5 mm.
Tighten the 2 bolts (B) securing the

counter knife. For now, leave the 3 bolts
(A) that hold the scraper loose.
Make the same adjustment on the

bottom counter knife (E).
Return the platform to the working
8.
position. When you close it, it will move
the scraper to the correct working
position.
