Periodic maintenance

by its correct maintenance; it
is therefore important to follow
the instructions below.
Wear protective, heat-proof
gloves before carrying out any
kind of maintenance.
Body parts cleaning
Clean all body parts with a non-
dripping, damp cloth. Avoid using
abrasive detergents or sponges.
Daily cleaning of parts in contact
with coffee
Every evening or before turning off
the machine, remove portafilters
(10 Pic. 2) from group heads (9 Pic.
2) and filters from portafilters.
Clean all these parts with the
brush (current machine accesso-
ry) in order to avoid encrusting on
external and internal surfaces.
Remove and properly clean the
drip tray (3 Pic. 2) and the cup grill.

Group heads cleaning (Daily)
This machine is equipped with
an automatic group-cleaning
cycle system.
To start the cleaning cycle of
each group, follow these inst-
ructions:
• Remove the portafilter from
the group to be cleaned, then re-
move its filter and replace it with
the blind filter (current machine
accessory).
• Put one cleaning tablet (cur-
rent machine accessory) in the
blind filter and put the portafilter
back in place.
• Push at the same time the
PD1 button and button ON/OFF
of the matching group for a few
seconds.
By enabling the cleaning cyc-
le, the main screen will be dis-
played, showing the cleaning
cycle icon.
