2.00 DESCRIPTION OF THE
proGAV 2.0 Tools
2.01 MEDICAL PURPOSE
The proGAV 2.0 Tools are intended for adjust-
ing and verifying the adjustable pressure levels
of the proGAV 2.0 valve.
2.02 CLINICAL USE
Treatment options
Localising the adjustable valve unit using
the instruments
Identifying the pressure level of the differ-
ential pressure unit of the proGAV 2.0 valve
Checking the pressure level without diag-
nostic procedures such as X-rays
Setting the pressure level without invasive
procedures
2.03 INDICATIONS
proGAV 2.0 Tools are used for the following
indications:
Treatment of hydrocephalus
2.04 CONTRAINDICATIONS
The following contraindications apply to the
proGAV 2.0 Tools :
Intolerance to materials of the instruments
2.05 INTENDED PATIENT GROUPS
Patients who, due to their clinical condition,
are treated with a CSF draining shunt sys-
tem with an adjustable proGAV 2.0 valve
