Mechanical alkaline cleaning and thermal disinfection
Phase I
Clean product in the ultrasonic cleaning bath (frequency 35 kHz). Ensure that all accessible
surfaces are wetted.
Phase II
Fully rinse/flush product (all accessible surfaces) under running water.
Device type: Single chamber cleaning/disinfection device without ultrasound
Place product on suitable screen basket (avoid missed areas)

Checking, maintenance, testing
Allow product to cool down to room tem-
perature.
Check product after each cleaning and dis-
infection for:
Cleanliness, functioning and damage, e. g.
insulation, loose, bent, broken, cracked,
worn and detached parts.
Discard damaged products immediately.
After the cleaning process, it is recom-
mended to place the instrument inside a
suitable double sterile packaging. This will
ensure reuse in the best way possible.
