SUPPLIES REQUIRED:

Rubbing or isopropyl alcohol

Velcro® strips (mating loop Velcro® included in the package)
SECURING PIONEER MATTRESS TO STRETCHER:
1. Mate loose piece of Velcro® to the elongated piece of Velcro® that goes down the center of the mattress.
2. Position mattress on stretcher and observe location where Velcro® will reside.
3. Clean the area where Velcro® will reside with rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol.
4. Allow to dry.
5. Expose adhesive baking and position mattress onto stretcher.
6. Apply a load of 50 pounds to the area of the mattress above the Velcro® for one minute.

WARNING

The risk of entrapment can develop when the support surface is placed on a stretcher frame that leave gaps of even
a few inches between the support surface and the headboard, footboard and/or side rails. Using a Pioneer support
surface on a stretcher frame that has a larger width than the support surface may result in sliding and patient injury
(see Specifications section on Page 6).
