3. HOW TO PLAY

Basic Pusher
Coins inserted by a player into a coin slot of the armrest section are counted by
the coin sensor before falling into the coin hopper (L) or (R).
The same number of coins counted are dispensed to the Panel Assembly from
the coin hopper. These coins slide down the panel and fall onto the pusher table
that is constantly moving backwards and forwards.
Coins already on the pusher table are pushed forward by the fallen coins, and fall
onto the playfield.
Coins that fall onto the playfield are pushed by the pusher, forcing other coins on
the playfield forwards. The pushed coins may move beyond the front edge of
playfield and fall onto the coin tray, or fall into the slots located on either side of
the playfield.
The coins that have fallen onto the coin tray are returned to the player, while the
coins entering the side slots are returned to the coin hopper (C).
PAC-MAN BALL
Basic rules
The player aims for dispensed coins to pass through the checkers located at seven
positions on the Panel Assy. (Cherry, Peach, Orange, Melon, Grape, Pear and Pac-
Man), to accumulate or delete balls on the screen.
When a coin passes through a checker, a ball corresponding to that checker is fired
from the right side of the screen. At the same time, another ball is fired from the left
side of the screen so that both balls hit each other in the centre of the screen.
Combo
When the two colliding balls are of the same type, it is a 'hit' and the balls disappear,
and extra coins are dispensed to the pusher table.
When 'hits' are made consecutively within a preset time, a 'Combo' results, and the
number of coins to be dispensed increases according to the number of 'Combos'.
Chain
When two colliding balls are different, the balls fall to the bottom of the screen and
accumulate. When matching balls touch each other, a 'hit' results, and the balls
disappear, and extra coins are dispensed to the pusher table. If there is a ball on top
of the disappearing ball, it falls down. If the falling ball results in a 'hit', a 'Chain'
occurs, and the number of coins to be dispensed increases according to the number
of 'Chains'.
The maximum number of 'Chains' from the time of game shipment and the maximum
number of 'Chains' since the current time of power on are displayed in the upper left
corner of the screen.
