Preparing the tool

Check function

To ensure the proper function of the tool, proceed as follows:
CAUTION
 Observe the danger warnings in chapter "Safety" from page 7.
 Press the tool nose of the tool against a piece of wood at least ten
centimetres thick.
 Fire the tool (see chapter "Driving in fasteners" from page 36).
 Check the following points:

Firing occurs only when the firing safety device is depressed.

Each time the tool is fired, a fastener must be driven into the
piece of wood.

The exhaust air must not be discharged towards your face.
 In order to obtain the desired nailing depth, adjust the working
pressure or the setting of the adjusting wheel (see page 33), if
necessary.
 Repeat these steps, if necessary.
The tool is now ready for operation.
