If you are not using the battery for lengthy periods,
remove the battery from the device.
Charge up the battery every 6–8 weeks, as well
as before putting back into operation after storage.
Check the battery's charged state with a voltmeter.
If the voltage is less than 12.6 V (DC) recharge
the battery (maximum charging current 12 V, 10 A)
