If a vehicle has been parked on an inclined surface, please
take into account the dynamic forces acting on the vehicle.
Great care must be used when opening drawers or other
pull-out components. Please always use both hands!
When the roller shutter compartment is used it must be
checked at regular intervals to ensure that the roller shut-
ter mat decelerates automatically at least 200mm before
the closed position is reached. If required, the adjustable
clamps on the left and right in the roller shutter handle
strip should be readjusted.
All anchoring fixings should be checked at regular inter-
vals, (at least every 5,000 km or 3,100 miles), or after
being subjected to extraordinary loads, (e.g. after heavy
braking).
The rules for securing cargo in motor vehicles according to
DIN ISO 27955 (passenger cars, station wagons, and multi-
purpose vehicles) and DIN ISO 27956 (vans/delivery trucks)
as well as § 22 and 23 and § 30 and 31 of the Road Traffic
Licensing Regulations (StVZO) are to be observed at all
times.
The VDI (Association of German Engineers) 2700 sheet 16
and the DGUV (German Social Accident Insurance) Rule 70
contain important information on their implementation.
