At least two vent openings (1x on the vehicle floor, 1x near
the ceiling, diagonal from each other) must be provided
within the enclosed vehicles when transporting gas cylin-
ders. The vent openings must be free and opened, and may
not be covered.
Such venting elements with 100 cm² cross
section as well as with reduced cross sec-
tion and smaller installation opening can
be obtained from bott as a trade specific
solution.
The ceiling and floor vents with reduced
cross section were inspected by DEKRA and comply with the
specifications for transportation of gas cylinders as per ADR
/ GGVSEB / RSEB in enclosed vehicles.
During the corresponding practical test in collaboration with
DEKRA, it was proven that the venting elements with re-
duced, round cross sections do not have any adverse effect
on the ventilation of the interior as opposed to larger vent
openings with a cross section of 100 cm².
The regulations relating to the transportation of gas cylin-
ders in enclosed vehicles must be observed in accordance
with information sheet DVS 02 11 (Deutscher Verband für
Schweißtechnik e.V) and the information sheet for safe
conveyance of liquefied gas bottles DGUV 210-001 .
Suitable floor and roof level vents are availible in the bott
accessory catalogue. Data sheet 'BGI 590' on the safe
vehicular transportation of compressed gas bottles must be
adhered to at all times.
Attention
The bott maintenance and operating instructions
contain safety instructions that must be observed by
the vehicle driver.
This document must be kept safe and should be car-
