Directions for use
• Load the material slowly. If the engine makes an unusual noise, it means that the
material is being loaded too fast.
• Roots and other dirty materials will blunt and damage the knives.
• Remove chips from the unit frequently. Otherwise, they may cause a blockage.
• Avoid shredding wet material, as it can cause clogging of the device. If shredding
of wet material is necessary, it should be separated from dry material.
• Do not load material with a diameter greater than that specified in the technical
data table.
• It is better to shred fresh, green wood. The knives will stay sharp longer.
3.4. Cleaning and maintenance
a)
Before cleaning, adjusting, changing accessories, adding fuel or oil, and when
the machine is not in use, make sure that the machine is completely stopped.
b)
Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning the surfaces.
c)
After each cleaning, all parts should be thoroughly dried before the device is
reused.
d)
Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct
sunlight.
e)
Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
f)
Make sure that no water enters through the ventilation openings in the casing.
g)
Perform regular inspections of the unit checking technical fitness and any
damages.
h)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects (e.g. wire brush or metal spatula) as
they may damage the surface of the material from which the appliance is
made.
i)
Do not clean the unit with acidic substances, medical agents, thinners, fuel,
oils, or other chemicals. It may cause damage to the device.
j)
If shredding efficiency deteriorates, rotate, sharpen, or replace knives
k)
Use a brush or a vacuum cleaner to clean the chips that have been collected
on the unit and around the engine.
l)
Each time after finishing work, remove all residues from the loading funnel and
the outlet funnel.
Transportation and storage
• Always follow the rules for safe refueling and handling of fuel when refueling the
unit after transport or storage.
• Never store the unit (with fuel) in a closed, poorly ventilated room. Fuel vapors
can enter an ignition source (such as a stove, water heater, etc.) and cause an
explosion. Fuel vapors are also toxic to humans and animals.
